After 4 months we got to hug our second kid – Hard!! I held him to me for the longest time and inhaled him. Why do our kids smell so good?? (Yeah! The elder one calls me a dog! It used to freak her out when I used to go near her and sniff and walk away looking like my world is in perfect shape. They are both used to it now!)
I never looked away when they were growing up, yet mysteriously the son was fitting into the palm of my hands a few years back, and now he is this tall hulking worked out character who is lifting me up and twirling me around!
San Diego where the son studies, is a place where you eat, drink, gaze repeat! We went for lunch to George’s at the Cove. The view from the rooftop was lovely, and the food extremely gratifying. A must go if you are in San Diego. Book in advance for their seaside table and the rooftop. (The daughter’s suggestion… well done Kanak!)
The view from La Jolla was what holiday views should be. Whenever you see the picture the entire holiday flashes past your eyes and leaves you soooo happy!
We will spend the day with the boy today. His exams are over and he is now a Junior! Good lord!! I say it again – time flies!
I have been having a chronic hip flexor ache and stiffness. A good friend told me about this FMT kind of physiotherapy. Functional Manual Therapy. I was told to attend the clinic in New Delhi but found a therapist in San Diego as well. I looked up Steve, and he set me up for an appointment.
Steve took down my case history, then he prodded, rotated, moved, pulled and did all sorts of thing one can do to the muscles, without causing me any kind of pain. At the end of it, my hips felt better, and the best thing was a very very old injury to my leg kind of eased out. I’m going back for another session on Friday and will keep you posted.
Toodlo …. till the next recipe- which comes real soon!!
