Welcome to The Recipe Larder

April 5, 2016 By appu 1 Comment

Hi Everyone, 🙂

With a deep breath and a few anxious heartbeats, I launch my food blog today.

So many blogs out there – what is different about mine you say? Frankly, I don’t know! I read with trepidation, into waters that are well travelled and mostly conquered. This is a field taken over by the likes of David Lebovitz, Brown Eyed Baker, Helen Dujardin, Gluten-Free Girl, all of whom I have the deepest reverence for.

Their pictures adorn many a magazine, their recipes are original and awesome, and their posts are funny, mysterious and happy. How does one compete with this?

Well, one does not!!

I enter this field with my passion, love for food, and the challenge to learn something new – aka the dreaded sport of manual photography!

I hope in the following days, you will like and comment on my posts. Criticisms are more welcome! I need to improve and I need to make you proud of me.

Lovingly,

Aparna

(Who shall henceforth be known as Appu 🙂 )

Meet the Author

For the 21 years and some months that I have been alive, there has been this crazy, eccentric, always-charged-up woman with a full-time job of being a mother to 6 (2 children, 4 dogs).

In her spare time she blasts music on her DJ console, reads like a maniac, downloads shows (because God forbid she runs out of something to watch), runs an entire household, and to top it all off, manages a very successful catering business which makes the most delicious food in the entire world. Once you have her food, everything else will taste like stale socks.

This is what you call "Maa ke haath ka khana".
